Know Your Audience: Choosing the Best Learning Activities for Your Training
April 6, 2020 From 3:00pm-4:00pm EST
This webinar is hosted by the Center for Court Innovation
Last year, the Center for Court Innovation and the National Center for State Courts hosted a workshop titled: A Blueprint for Success: Designing Effective Court-Based Trainings. Based on workshop feedback, participants showed overwhelming interest in a key element of program design: adult learning activities. Trainings often incorporate a variety of topics and choosing the best learning activity for each session can be a challenge. Your training will be more responsive to the needs of participants by incorporating a variety of learning styles through activities that are appropriate, dynamic, and interactive.
Join us for this webinar and find out how you can design engaging learning activities for a successful training program. To learn about more topics, access the training guidebook here: Planning Domestic Violence Training Programs for Your Community: A Practice Guide.
As a result of this webinar, participants will be able to:
- Distinguish between the four adult learning styles.
- Design interactive learning activities that respond to the training topic and learning objectives.
- Identify opportunities for using supplemental training resources.
This webinar targets current and former OVW Justice for Families grantees, including sites that are interested in training planning and implementation.
