Working with API Immigrant Survivors: Current Challenges and Advocacy Strategies

by  Pro Bono Net

Learn about the unique hardships that API immigrant survivors are facing due to the COVID-19 pandemic, surge in anti-Asian sentiment, and recent hate crimes. The panelists will share key findings and insights based on a national survey on survivors’ needs; and discuss strategies to help legal nonprofit and pro bono advocates reach and support the API immigrant communities. The panelists are Sara Wee, Director of Research & Programs/Center for Survivor Agency & Justice, and Shirley Luo, Resource Center Coordinator/Asian Pacific Institute on Gender-Based Violence.
