“Join the Prosecuting Attorneys Association of Michigan’s Violence Against Women Project for the free, experiential training; Crossing the Domestic Violence Defendant with guest presenter Arianne Slay. This training will focus on batterer behaviors and the patterns of power and control that they use. During the training, attendees will have the opportunity to practice cross-examination on a mock defendant and hone their trial skills in the courtroom. This training is for new prosecutors, prosecutors new to handling Intimate Partner Violence Cases or experienced assistant prosecutors looking for a refresher on successfully cross of these often difficult defendants.”
