Compensation Navigator Assistance Program

November 2024

Announcement from MDHHS DVS

The Crime Victim Compensation unit of the Division of Victim Services has recently introduced the Compensation Navigator Assistance Program. This program aims to support crime victims and survivors in completing and submitting their Crime Victim Compensation applications, gathering necessary documentation, and providing ongoing assistance to the claimant and/or victim.

Administered directly by the Crime Victim Compensation program, Navigators organized by regions serve victims and survivors statewide. Each Navigator, based in their respective area, will foster relationships with local Prosecutor’s offices, victim service organizations, community agencies, medical and mental health providers, funeral homes, and other key stakeholders.

We encourage you to connect with the Navigators in your region if you are assisting a victim or survivor interested in applying for Crime Victim Compensation. Click the links below to discover who your Navigators are and how to contact them!
