Suicide Prevention: Let's Talk About It
There is an idea that mentioning the word ‘suicide’ runs the risk of putting the idea in someone’s head and can lead to tragedy. What we find though, is that talking about it can help people who are struggling with their mental health and the idea of suicide feel less isolated and can give helpers a better understanding of what someone may be experiencing.
With that in mind, let’s talk about it. This month, we pulled together this collection of resources, trainings, and other material centered on suicide prevention. The collection includes information on what to do if your partner threatens suicide, a 5-step suicide assessment, supporting Tribal youth at risk for suicide, and more. As always, please don’t hesitate to contact us if you’re looking for more!
